Each year at the FM Sumit Gala Awards Dinner, we recognise high achievers in the FM industry – those who have gone above and beyond in pursuit of excellence. Entries for the 2022 FMANZ Awards are now open and this year we are introducing a brand new award – the Sustainability & Environmental Impact Award. You have until Monday 2 May to get your entry in to us. Good luck!

Emerging FM Professional of the Year

Do you know a relative newcomer to FM who has a talent and genuine passion for the industry?  Do colleagues comment on their commitment and their willingness to go the extra mile? Are they driven to seek out extra responsibilities and new skills to expand their knowledge and fast-track their career in FM?

If you answered yes, please nominate them for the Emerging FM Professional of the Year Award! (Note: Formerly known as the Young Achiever of the Year Award.)

Learn More

We acknowledge there are myriad ways people come to the industry and no set career path FMs follow, but most successful FMs remember the moment they realised FM was the industry for them and that they had the potential to excel in their job.

If you’ve witnessed someone recently coming to the same conclusion, we want to know:
– What makes them an outstanding performer in FM? What makes them stand out from the crowd?
– How have they improved performance within their FM team and/or organisation? What key milestones and outcomes have they achieved?
–  And what personal qualities show their commitment to the FM industry?

Nominees must be Facilities Management practitioners. For the purposes of these awards, this includes anyone who organises, controls and coordinates the strategic and operational management of buildings and facilities in public and private organisations to ensure the proper and efficient operation of all physical aspects, including creating and sustaining safe and productive environments for occupants.

FMANZ Honours & Service Awards

FMANZ is indebted to all the hard-working volunteers who sit on our national and branch committees and generously serve the association in other ways. Each year we recognise those who have made the most valuable contribution by awarding them with a Branch Service Award, National Service Award, Distinguished Service Award, or Fellowship.

Learn More

Here’s how the nomination process works:

  • Around November each year, the management team will identify potential candidates and start a points template.
  • The Chief Executive will add any discretionary points and commentary on candidates’ contributions to FMANZ.
  • The points templates and commentaries will be sent to the awards committee.
  • The awards committee will review the proposals and, if it agrees, ask appropriate committee chairs to make formal nominations which will include an endorsement outlining why candidates should receive an award.
  • The awards committee will review the formal nominations and pass its recommendations to the Board.
  • The Board will review (and ratify or decline) these recommendations.
