Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Auckland District Health Board Facilities & Development team are responsible for the successful ongoing operation of the sites at Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Carrington. An opportunity has arisen in the team for an experienced Capital & Asset Manager to lead the Capital and Asset Management planning and delivery across these facilities to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness or our services.

Our sites are complex, critical and in use 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so the successful candidate will be able to create, manage and implement asset management plans with meticulous planning

Stakeholder management skills are a must as you will be working with ADHB’s Engineers, Project Managers and a variety of specialist sub-contractors as well as clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to ensure the ADHB’s facilities are maintained in accordance with the DHB’s requirements.

  • Have experience in Asset Management planning and delivery

  • Be a great communicator and able to present technical matters to non-technical stakeholders feasibility studies and options analysis for various space and facilities related proposals.
  • Excellent written skills including business case drafting and board papers
  • Be able to develop delivery strategies for asset renewal programmes
  • Be able to manage multiple stakeholders and work to deadlines

  • Ability to work under pressure;

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As the Facilities Security Specialist, you will work with the Facilities and Development team, Security Services and Contractors to ensure security requirements, including hardwares and technologies are implemented and maintained in a timely, efficient and cost-effective way.

You will ensure the safety of people, the security of property and you will support the management of major incidents, as required by the Protective Security Requirements (PSR), the Privacy Act 2020, the Privacy Commissioner: Privacy and CCTV Guidelines, and Auckland DHB policies including but not limited to – the Security (Physical) Policy, the CCTV Policy and Guidelines, and the Security ID Card Policy.

Given the importance of this role, you will be a qualified security technician who comes with: –

  • Certificates in Gallagher and Milestone installation and management
  • Site Safe Supervisor qualification
  • Ten years’ experience in security applications and technology, including analysis, configuration and implementation of IT application software
  • Three years’ Project Management experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience – ability to build strong links with internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail oriented – love the detail; ability to complete tasks with high accuracy levels
  • Issue resolution skills – able to work through issues with associated parties to an optimum outcome for the organisation

First prize would be if you are a qualified electrician and you have had previous experience working in corporate facilities management / maintenance in the health sector.
